Proven Leadership.
Accountable Governance.
Commitment to Student Success and Well-Being.

The Santa Clara County Board of Education isn't about running local schools.  It's about oversight, stewardship, and accountability.  It approves budgets, supports districts, and ensures public resources are used effectively for every student.

Yan brings proven leadership to a role that demands it.  The board shapes critical decisions on charter schools, special education, and curriculum, and directly influences the educational experiences of hundreds of thousands of students across one of California's largest and most diverse school systems.

With a deep commitment to student success and well-being, Yan understands that strong schools don't just serve families, they drive community strength and touch every corner of civic life in Santa Clara County.

I’m running for the County Board of Education because I believe our students deserve strong, accountable leadership.

As a City Councilmember and two-term mayor of the City of Saratoga, I’ve focused on transparency and responsible decision-making, and I want to bring that same approach to the Board of Education and making sure decisions are always centered on students and done in a way the public can trust.

I will bring experience, commitment, and accountability to the County Board of Education. I would be honored to earn your support.
